Our New BFF is SO Dense

Meet ANDI, our newest bite-friendly find. An acronym for the Aggregate Nutrient Density Index, developed by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, this hot list features foods in rank order based on the nutrients they pack. The following are weighed in: Calcium, Carotenoids: Beta Carotene, Alpha Carotene, Lutein & Zeaxanthin, Lycopene, Fiber, Folate, Glucosinolates, Iron, Magnesium, Niacin, Selenium, Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, plus ORAC score. Not surprising, the gifts of nature top the list, although a variety of foods, including protein is important to a balanced diet.

ANDI is our new BFF (bite-friendly find). Getting dense is a good thing. Choose foods that pack a punch, like kale, brussel sprouts and caulifower.
